About AOT

We’re on a mission to help enterprises and governments bring their ideas to life.

As a boutique consulting firm, we partner with enterprises, startups, and governments to solve complex, mission-critical challenges. Our expertise spans business process management, automation and AI, cloud, and application development. Our teams are collaborative, our leadership is transparent, and our work is impactful.

Alongside our consulting practice, we’re product builders: our flagship platform, formsflow.ai, is a low-code solution that simplifies complex form creation, approvals, and workflow automation, helping organizations move faster without sacrificing quality or compliance. Under the SLED360 umbrella, we deliver products and services tailored to the unique needs of state and local governments and the education sector, from modern case management to digital services. Our product offerings reflect our entrepreneurial spirit and firsthand experience solving real-world problems with scalable, human-centered technology.

As we expand into new markets and scale our solutions, there’s never been a better time to join AOT.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key deliverables will include:

  • Architecture assessments and recommendations
  • Solution architecture documentation
  • Integration and interoperability designs
  • Technical roadmaps and governance materials
  • Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and supporting documentation
Who You Are

You're a seasoned solution architect who has spent your career making sense of complexity — turning tangled integration landscapes, competing stakeholder priorities, and large-scale transformation programs into governed and deliverable architecture. You bring both the strategic perspective to engage at the executive level and the technical depth to guide engineering teams through microservices design, containerization, and full stack delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 10+ years of recent experience providing enterprise, solution, or application architecture services
  • 5+ years supporting large-scale digital service transformation initiatives
  • Strong experience designing integration and interoperability solutions across multiple business systems
  • Experience overseeing full stack development projects using React/Angular, Node.JS/Python on public/private cloud environments
  • Experience in architecting microservices-based solutions and/or containerization techniques using Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Experience working within complex public sector environments
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance, standards, and technical decision-making
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on large-scale government digital services programs
  • Familiarity with identity and authentication architecture, technologies, and industry standards
  • Previously delivered initiatives involving complex business, process, and policy requirements
  • Previously delivered technical solutions with multiple integrations across internal and external systems
  • Familiarity with government and/or enterprise architecture standards and practices
  • Azure Cloud experience
  • ETL / data pipeline experience, preferably using Prefect
What We Offer
  • Salary range of $135K to $150K CAD, commensurate with experience
  • Flexible remote work environment with optional hybrid collaboration for candidates located in Victoria, BC
  • Continuous learning and leadership development opportunities
  • Flexible schedules and generous paid time off
  • Competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits from Day 1
  • Employer-sponsored deferred profit-sharing plan
  • A collaborative, mission-driven culture where your work matters
