Senior Software/Data Engineer - Zurich Size & Fit Engineering (all genders)

THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

Finding clothes that fit is a challenging topic in the e-commerce fashion industry. As a Software Engineer in the Size and Fit Team, you will be part of a core team developing products and production infrastructure to provide customers with the best size and fit experience thanks to data-driven recommendations.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) 

• Design, build and improve large-scale software solutions for data products

• Scale the infrastructure to future needs by enabling fast and efficient machine learning algorithmic development and production

• Enrich our engineering culture by encouraging knowledge sharing and driving technical discussions within the team

• Work side by side with applied scientists, full stack engineers, product managers and business developers

• Contribute to the community through technical blogs

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have 5-7 years of experience in professional software engineering

• You are a self driven engineer who shares passion for helping customers find the right fit

• You understand the properties of large scale distributed systems and have proven track record in building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems

• You have proficiency in writing production applications using Python, with additional experience in Java or Go being is a plus.

• You are familiar with large-scale distributed data processing tools such as Spark, Flink, or Databricks

• You have experience with infrastructure to serve ML models in production environments

• You have Knowledge of AWS (or similar cloud platforms), containerization technologies like Docker, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes

• You have passion for writing clean, maintainable and simple code

• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to discuss technical architecture and designs with other senior and principal engineers
