Senior Software Test Engineer/Test Lead (Plymouth, MN)
As a Senior Software Test Engineer/Test Lead, you will join a high-performing, global, cross-functional Scrum team within the Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGT-D) Software R&D group, based in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you will focus on verifying our Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) Clinical Imaging Application, which significantly enhances the efficiency of clinical workflows for our physician customers and improves patient outcomes. You will ensure that the software application meets all functional, safety, and performance requirements and successfully implements effective risk control measures.
Your role:

Work closely with the Product Owner and the software development team to ensure the requirements for software features are complete and testable.

Responsible for creating and maintaining Software Test strategy in a Software Verification Test Plan document according to Philips Quality Management System (QMS) that satisfies regulatory requirements as well as the creation and documentation of software test scenarios, test plans and test cases for various kinds of software testing – functional, reliability, performance, safety (risk control measures), translations, etc.

Responsible for creating traceability and providing 100% test coverage for all software requirements to software test cases. Responsible for developing, dry-running and reviewing software test cases in parallel with software development within Sprints and/or Product Increments (PI).

Responsible for managing test infrastructure (labs, systems) and ensuring accurate representation of software test development progress in sprint boards with burndown charts.

Integral part of the scrum team along with PO, Software Architects and Software engineers and participate in agile scrum and SAFe ceremonies.

Participate in risk management activities like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to determine hazards, hazardous situations and identify risk control measures to implement and test.

You have 8+ years’ experience working as a Software Test Engineer, Verification Engineer in collaboration with global software development teams in a regulated environment.

You are experienced using Test Case Management tools like Jama, Jira, Test Complete, Quality Center etc. and are experienced with desktop application test automation tools like Qt Squish, Test Complete, PyTest, WinAppDriver etc.

You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

You have experience with regulatory standards like IEC 62304, 82304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 etc.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in (Plymouth, MN) is $105,000 to $180,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
