Your role:
- Analyse existing software and functional requirements to maintain, enhance, and stabilize C/C++ applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Design and implement fixes, minor enhancements, and optimizations with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and backward compatibility.
- Develop efficient, maintainable, and well-documented C/C++ code in alignment with established coding standards and best practices.
- Perform code reviews, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution to ensure long-term code quality and product robustness
- Implement developer-level testing to ensure software reliability.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues and security issues efficiently.
- Perform cybersecurity activities, including incident response, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation implementation.
- Conduct product security risk assessments in collaboration with Product, Software, and R&D teams.
- Define, recommend, and validate security controls to address product/system wide security risks.
- Support secure design reviews, threat modeling, and product security architecture evaluations.
- Own and manage software security requirements across the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Perform, review, and manage static code analysis using tools such as Coverity (or equivalent).
- Conduct SOUP (Software of Unknown Provenance) and third‑party/open‑source software reviews for security and compliance risks.
- Identify, track, and remediate software vulnerabilities discovered via scans, testing, or external disclosures.
- Promote and enforce secure coding practices and software security standards with development teams.
- Ensure alignment with relevant healthcare industry standards and regulations
- Integrate security controls into development, CI/CD, build, and release processes.
- Support internal and external audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews
- Lead system architecture decisions and ensure scalable, high-performance solutions
- Create technical documentation and comply with development policies.
- Stay updated with technical advancements and advocate best practices within the team.
- Support project estimation, planning, and risk management activities.

- Bachelor/Master of Engineering in the field of Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development using C and C++
- Experience working with OSS (Open Source Software), charts & graphs, and multithreading.
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain, with strong focus on product and software security
- Knowledge of SBOMs, open-source compliance, and Medical Device security
- Expertise in memory management, performance tuning, and debugging.
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, or embedded systems development.
- Experience with database integration, APIs, networking protocols.
- Proficiency in GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Work experience in healthcare systems or real-time applications.
- Basic understanding of medical technology & human physiology (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Static code analysis tools
