PURPOSE OF POSITION
A global employee plans and transfer agent administrator is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in development, deployment and operation of software solutions based on SQL and database related technologies. Deep experience with T-SQL and analyzing data. Biased toward providing superior client service while carefully maintaining data integrity.
Specific experience and skills:
- Minimum 5 Years of SQL development/scripting experience (T-SQL/ANSI)
- Hands-on experience in writing complex queries, stored procedures, views and functions that can process large volume of data efficiently
- Should possess Analytical, Design and documentation skills and able to solve challenging technical problems creatively
- Exposure to detecting scalability issues for performance tuning queries with indexes and other relevant methodologies
- Experience working in MSSQL environments is mandatory.
- ORACLE experience is a plus
- Ability to write database level unit tests is a plus
- Banking/Finance sector experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Sisense or other relevant Data analytics/reporting tools is a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify the essential duties of the position. Overview of the role, not a detailed task list.
- Analyze, Develop, debug and unit test SQL Server queries and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
- Develop and unit test stored procedures, views, database jobs, and reports.
- Develop technical design documents from simple to complex functional requirements documents.
- Creates Data flow diagrams and maintains data catalogues, as applicable
- Work efficiently with Product teams, Business Analysts, Scrum Leads and QA teams to successfully deliver projects on time
- Support business as usual activities (BAU) with Application support and Customer Operations team including but not limited to resolving production defects, performance issues and system outages.
- Adhere to all Regulatory, Security and Compliance requirements
