T3 - Senior Software Quality Engineer
As a Senior Software Quality Engineer for Wolters Kluwer, you will be responsible for applying knowledge of US tax law to build test suite according to published specifications and assuring that all tax data moves correctly from one tax product to another.
Activities include learning all proprietary tools required to create and run a tax conversion, creating appropriate test suites, conveying program deficiencies found in testing to developers, testing code after resolution and review customer facing documentation.
Experience Range: 6 to 9.5 Years
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience on working with C# and Visual Studio
- Validate tax return conversion process at every step and end-to-end, through manual verifications and test automation
- 3-6 years of experience in UI and API automation Testing
- Own all aspects of a program from a QA perspective including but not limited to manual testing and data validations through automated scripts
- Automation of desktop-based applications (win app driver, UIAF) and web-based applications (Selenium), as needed .
- Defect tracking
- Ability to provide technical help to team members and participate & contribute to relevant technical standards
- Test the accuracy of the data and its completeness. Identify key ETL mapping scenarios
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts
- Understanding of data model and data conversion\validation testing
- Experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps for Development and Testing is preferred
- Build and maintain a suite of test files for regression testing. Monitor regressions and investigate discrepancies
- Excellent investigative skills to find root cause for data mismatch and automation problems
- Attention to details around data validations, testing scope\procedure and reporting
Good to have:
- Knowledge of US Income tax system (forms, tax elements, tax software, tax rollover process, etc.) is a big plus
- Software development experience (coding/programming) is not mandatory but would be a bonus
- Understanding on preparing US income tax returns (Example: - 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120s, and/or 990) is good to have
- Working experience on generic ETL patterns and in designing robust and scalable ETL solutions
- Design, develop and testing of complex ETL components
- Good understanding of ELT testing
Experience:
- At least 3 to 6 years of experience on UI and API testing\automation concepts
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Highly adept working in a decentralized/remote team environment
- Comfortable learning and using proprietary tools
