The Senior Software Lead independently manages projects through the full project lifecycle from Initiation and planning to execution, monitoring and closeout - ensuring timely task completion, accurate documentation and clear stakeholder communication.
Tasks and Qualifications:Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive software project plans, include scope definition, task breakdown, resource allocation and budget management.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand and document project requirements and track them through completion.
- Act as the primary point of coordination for software scope across engineering, QA, commissioning, and customer stakeholders.
- Develop project risk management plans and identify potential mitigation strategies with project teams.
- Proactively manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, following established change control processes.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to standard execution processes, tools, and governance models.
- Manage project punch list through the project lifecycle.
- Understand the technical impact of decisions on business operations for Customer’s operation.
- Mentor Software Leads on process and projects with higher complexity.
- Prepare and analyze project reports using data metrics.
- Review change order quotes and project variance estimates.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or related discipline
- 4 - 7+ years of software project execution experience
- 1+ years of industrial automation industry experience (WMS or WCS) a plus
- Familiarity with MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, SAP
- Willingness to travel 20 – 25%
