Summary
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Salesforce Product Owners, Quality Analysts, Administrators and Developers in iteratively developing new features and capabilities on the Salesforce platform with a focus on Heartland Point of Sale business. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects and product managers to scope and implement new initiatives, streamline, automate, and simplify sales and operational processes and educate the business on the effective use of the technologies and processes necessary for the business to deliver best-in-class operational experiences for global teams.
This position will report to the Director of Applications System Development within the Internal Applications department.
Responsibilities

Lead an Agile team of product owners, quality analysts, administrators and developers responsible for the delivery of Salesforce enhancements critical to Heartland Point of Sales revenue growth

Partner with internal stakeholders in POS Sales, Pricing, Boarding, Implementation and Product Operations in supporting organizations to define and deliver end to end business processes

Provide leadership, activity planning and direction to complete team tasks, produce the required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet project milestones

Mentor team members, identify and develop opportunities for individual growth and set a positive example for working in a team environment

Work with product managers to manage and prioritize the team’s product backlog

Work closely with the DevOps team to optimize the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and test automation frameworks for the team.
Requirements and skills
-
6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with 2 years of experience as Technical Lead

4+ years of people management experience leading a team of 4 or more full-time employees

Knowledge of Agile Project Delivery foundations - SAFe Preferred

Implementation expertise and practical experience working on large Salesforce projects involving complex integration with other systems

Experience in collaborating with product managers representing Sales, Operations, Product & Technology and balancing competing interests and needs across the organization to define a clear roadmap for CRM deliverables

Strong understanding of Apex programming, Triggers, Controllers, Visualforce, Lightning, Configuration, SOQL, and REST APIs

A track record of delivering projects on-time by leveraging your experience in development processes, work estimation, and optimal resource allocation

Passionate about scaling teams and helping individuals grow their careers

Salesforce Certifications potentially including Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, Application/System/Technical Architect preferred

Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps or Rally
