What would you be doing?
Design and develop scalable, distributed microservices using Java
- Own feature delivery end-to-end: from technical design to production deployment
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend/QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews and design discussions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response processes
- Continuously improve performance, reliability, and observability of services
Requirements:
- MCA/B.E. in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
- Expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and deep understanding of the JVM ecosystem
- Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures in production environments
- Proficient in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Proven hands-on experience with React JS, including developing and maintaining interactive front-end applications- Solid knowledge of relational databases, including advanced PostgreSQL usage (joins, indexes, transactions, optimizations)
- Hands-on experience with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and ArgoCD
- Proven experience working in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Strong Git skills and experience working with GitHub / GitLab / Azure DevOps / Bitbucket
- Strong problem-solving skills and system-level thinking
- Proven ability to write technical design documents and lead feature-level architectural planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Spec-Driven Development (SDD): Ability to create high-quality technical specs (e.g., spec files, CLAUDE.md) as a source of truth.
- Agentic CLI Tools: Experience with tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, or Cursor for managing multi-step development workflows.
- Prompt Engineering: Ability to convert business requirements into structured, precise prompts with architectural and security considerations
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Go (used for system/integration testing or supporting tools)
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
- Working knowledge of Cypress for automated UI and end-to-end testing
- Knowledge in secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and AppSec fundamentals
- Familiarity with asynchronous messaging patterns and job queues
