Senior Software Engineer
Hybrid Work Model - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote (Wilmington, DE location)
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm EST

Our platform is a combination of web applications, big data platforms, web crawlers, and much more. As an API focused Software Engineer, you'll have access to a wide range of technologies and influence how we build new solutions going forward. Our organization needs a self-starter who is passionate about making a difference, working within team, and delivering high quality software.
Some of the things you'll be doing:

• Write software in Java, Python for creating, extending and maintaining microservices and API frameworks
• Build stable, scalable, and secure backend services
• Build software deployment pipelines using CI/CD best practices
• Be an active participant in the SCRUM software development process by working closely with other team members to deliver working software

Required technical skills, experience and qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software
• Proficiency with web services (RESTful, SOAP, WSDL)
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript
• Proficiency with API Security Protocols
• Proficiency with Relational Databases, SQL
• Proficiency in web frameworks, such as the Spring Framework, (i.e. Spring Boot)
• Proficiency in Cloud/AWS development
• Hands-on experience with architecting software systems, microservices, messaging systems, etc.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and secure coding practices
• Willingness to learn new environments and third party integrations

Preferred technical skills, experience and qualifications

• Proficiency with ServiceNow development
• Knowledge of the Domain Name System
