About the Role
You are an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer (Java / Node.js) with a passion for building modern, cloud-native applications. You are excited by the challenge of migrating complex systems from virtual machines to containerized deployments in Docker and Kubernetes. You love elegant and effective solutions, and you enjoy improving existing systems as much as creating new ones.
You ideally bring:
- Solid experience in Java (8–21) and/or Node.js (up to 20)
- Deep understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, and centralized logging (ELK / Elastic Stack)
- Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues that block containerization or cloud-native deployment
- Experience with Spring Boot, and/or popular Node.js frameworks (e.g. Express, NestJS)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Helm, Kustomize, or similar tools)
- Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and driving best practices for cloud-ready architectures
Your Challenge
- Together with a dedicated team of experienced engineers, you will:
- Migrate existing applications from virtual machines to Docker and Kubernetes deployments
- Implement observability across services using Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, and centralized logging via Elastic Stack
- Analyze and refactor code (in Java and Node.js) to remove migration blockers and ensure container readiness
- Establish best practices for building, deploying, and monitoring containerized services
- Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps engineers to modernize CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments
- Contribute to technical decisions on architecture, performance optimization, and resilience improvements
