Kaseya is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team building and maintaining our Backup product. This role goes beyond typical web development: our team develops components in Go or PHP (experience in either is sufficient) and manages infrastructure in public cloud environments and Ubuntu Linux systems.
You’ll work on high-performance backup systems that require reliability and scalability, while also eliminating infrastructure blockers and ensuring smooth deployments.
We're Looking for Someone With:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Backend development experience with Go or PHP (either is sufficient)
- Hands-on experience with any major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience using Terraform (or similar IaC tools) for cloud infrastructure provisioning
- Experience with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing)
- English at B2 level for daily communication and documentation
- Strong understanding of Linux/Ubuntu environments
- Familiarity with ZFS filesystem and storage concepts
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL or similar)
- Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms in real-world use
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and performant services and CLI tools
- Manage infrastructure in public cloud environments
- Resolve infrastructure blockers and ensure smooth deployments
- Drive and uphold best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and mentoring within the engineering team
