About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fraud Technology team within Wells Fargo Technology organization. The team performs Agile software development and support, delivering mission critical Java solutions for Fraud Detection Operations product. This position will play a key role in enhancing existing on-premise applications as well as modernization efforts including migration to cloud environment. The Senior Software Engineer will drive the design and full stack development of software solutions utilizing Java, SpringBoot, Oracle, Hibernate and various modern technologies such as micro services, micro front end and Cloud technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Core Java experience
- 2+ years of React JS experience
- 2+ years of Spring experience (preferable spring boot, MVC), ORM (Hibernate, Spring Data JPA)
- 2+ years of Agile experience
- 2+ years of Web Services experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
- 2+ years of experience with database technologies preferably Oracle DB. Ability to understand data model, write PL/SQL and views.
- 2+ years of experience in the build tools like Gradle and Maven.
- 2+ years of experience in Java testing framework like Junit framework, Mockito etc.
- 2+ years of experience developing web applications utilizing HTML 5
- 2+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience
- Demonstrated hands-on development experience with Fraud management UI and middleware applications
- Microservices development experience
- Cloud computing experience
- Experience in developing event driven solutions using Kafka
- Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis
- Ability to address and resolve complex customer issues
- Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
