The Role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Jerusalem. This is an amazing opportunity to work on our CDI team. The team consists of 6 people and reports to the Team Lead. We have a great skill set in Java, and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in Object-Oriented development with Java About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
1+ years of experience developing in Java
1+ years of Object-Oriented development.
1+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL
Knowledge and experience with databases (i.e., Cassandra), search engines (Solr),
2+ years of experience with relational databases – required.
High level of English.

It would be great if you also had . . .

Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with Load Balancers, Networking/IP, Storage.
Experience with scripting (Python/Bash) Regex and automation.

What will you be doing in this role?The Developer’s job includes understanding the requirements defined by the business analysts, designing and implementing a technical solution, and facilitating testing and rollout of the feature. The work includes bug fixes, performance, stability, and long-term maintenance tasks, communicating with other teams, product owners, and our support analysts. You should be comfortable working in a self-organizing team that works from remote positions and be a part of a global team – which requires flexibility in hours to accommodate the working time zones of other team members.The product you will be developing The developer will be a member of the Discovery Development team, which is part of Exlibris Research and Discovery Solutions.About the TeamThe team is a global team of 6 members Hours of Work / More important information for you:Our base is in the Jerusalem, Israel office, working in a hybrid modelThis is a full-time position.
