Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer to join our HMP team.

HMP, Hotel MarketPlace, is one of our main internal productivity tools used by many Travel Counselors to service our customers. It provides an efficient way to find the best hotels, the best rates, perform reservations and cancellations.

The tool is a modern Angular application, supported by a thin backend, with many features and productivity optimizations helping thousands of professional travel counselors do their daily job.

What You’ll do on a Typical Day:

• Discuss product needs and business value.
• Own the specification and design of upcoming features during grooming.
• Implement new features, using modern TypeScript, HTML & CSS.
• Ensure the software is automatically testable, and well tested.
• Carefully review peer code.
• Identify and deliver strong work quality improvements.
• Guarantee a high level of quality, security, and performance of the product.
• Keep up to date with Angular, web development practices, libraries, frameworks and standards.
• Build and maintain critical metrics in the product analytics tool Amplitude. 
• Actively assist the team, encourage and engage in information exchange.

What we’re looking for:

• 7 years of experience in Web application development, SPA framework (ideally Angular) TypeScript
• Some experience in Angular.
• A passion for software craftmanship, a culture of excellence and Clean Code, and TDD.
• DevOps knowledge is an asset.
• English must be fluent, as the team is multicultural and international.
• A detailed, constructive, improvement-seeking attitude.
• The ability to investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• A teammate attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Should be flexible to work in 3:00pm-12:00 midnight shift
