What You’ll Do :
- Develop, upgrade, enhance backend services for Zynga titles using Java, C# and/or PHP.
- Write high-quality, well-structured code with a focus on performance and maintainability.
- Lead incident response efforts, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Server modernization, cost optimization, service enhancement on a variety of game services.
- Establish robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address potential problems
- Participate in the architectural design of backend solutions
- Follow best practices towards ensuring performance, reliability, and measurability
- Work on large problems and break it up for others to implement.
- Prepare thorough documentation for systems and processes.
- Take ownership of projects, resolving challenges from concept to deployment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
What You Bring:
- Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix), and cloud computing (AWS)
- 5+ years proficiency in programming languages (Java, PHP and/or C#)
- Solid fundamental programming skills (OS, Networking, AWS Cloud)
- Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and backend integrations.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with SRE principles (SLOs, SLAs, incident response, capacity planning)
- Experience with one of the cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and cloud engineering tools (Terraform, Ansible)
