- Microsoft Visual C++
- MS SQL Server knowledge (creating/profiling/optimizing Stored Procedures, familiar with database concepts like data normalization, best practices etc.)
- Windows OS APIs in general (ability to work with MSMQ API, Win Socket API, Crypto API etc.)
- Multi-threading programming (using of synchronization object, overlapped IO, thread-pools etc.)
- Network programming (sockets, TCPIP/UDP)
- ODBC knowledge/programming
- Cryptography (AES128, 3DES, DUKPT 3DES, etc. used in online PIN translation and built-in data encryption via HSM)
- Basic C# knowledge (one of the components is written as C# assembly). Also all internal dev/test tools are written in C#
- COM objects
- STL library
- MFC/ATL library
- Unicode and ASCII programming
- C++ code does not use many latest features (C++23), but there are a few places with C++20 code, so knowledge of latest C++ features is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO8583 is a plus
- Knowledge of EMV is a plus
- Familiar with Windows authentication/permissions/impersonation using Windows API etc.
- Payment Industry experience is a plus
