We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can design, build, test, deploy, and maintain reliable software using Claude Code or similar AI coding agents as part of their daily engineering workflow.

The role is open to both experienced engineers and promising junior candidates who demonstrate strong technical foundations, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.

Senior Software Engineer – Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python, FastAPI, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Build and maintain REST or GraphQL APIs, including authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling, migrations, and query optimization.
• Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code to accelerate development while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Work with message queues such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing and background jobs.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Create clear technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.

Testing & Quality

• Write and maintain unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
• Apply automated testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
• Validate AI-generated code through testing, code review, security, and performance checks.

Delivery & Operations

• Work with Git/GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Contribute to deployment and maintenance of applications in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or DigitalOcean.
• Work with Docker, application configuration, secrets, and basic infrastructure concepts.
• Use monitoring and production-support tools such as Grafana, Sentry, and logging/observability platforms.

Collaboration

• Work as part of an Agile/Scrum team and actively participate in planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Translate product requirements into clear, estimable technical tasks.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product managers, data scientists, and external partners.
• Work independently while remaining open to learning and working across different technologies.
  

Required Qualifications

• Practical software development experience gained through professional work, internships, academic projects, open source, or a strong technical portfolio.
• Strong Python skills and experience with FastAPI or a similar framework.
• Experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building back-end services with Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Good understanding of SQL, relational databases, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and code-review workflows.
• Experience using Claude Code or a similar AI coding agent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL and libraries such as Strawberry, Graphene, Ariadne, or Apollo.
• Experience with Playwright or another E2E testing framework.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or DigitalOcean.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, or similar messaging systems.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Sentry, logging, and observability tools.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications.
• Knowledge of authentication, RBAC, API security, secrets management, and data protection.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum product environment.
  

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience, relevant projects, or a strong technical portfolio will also be considered.
