The Entity Content team collects, manages, and supplies content for various datasets across Deep Data Operations. This content is used extensively across and beyond Refinitiv/LSEG and is a critical asset to a wide range of Refinitiv/LSEG products.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join the Content Operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting automation solutions, reporting capabilities, data correction tools, and workflow improvements that enable efficient day-to-day content operations.

The candidate will have opportunity working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and relational databases such as Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI). You will collaborate closely with Content Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to identify operational challenges and deliver scalable solutions that improve data quality, operational efficiency, and reporting capabilities.

This position offers an opportunity to build impactful tools and automation that directly support business-critical content workflows and data management processes.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to support daily Content Operations activities.
  • Build and enhance operational tools that improve workflow efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase data accuracy.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and monitoring solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
  • Develop utilities and processes for bulk content updates, data corrections, and data quality improvements.
  • Create scalable solutions for managing content lifecycle workflows and operational processes.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support reporting, analysis, and data maintenance activities.
  • Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, investigate root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Ensure software quality through effective testing, validation, and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Create, review, and maintain technical documentation for applications, tools, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, source control processes, and deployment activities.
  • Provide regular status updates and contribute to project planning, estimation, and sprint activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience: 1-3 years

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Azure services and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong SQL development skills, including:
    • Query optimization
    • Stored procedures
    • Data analysis and reporting
    • Bulk update and data correction operations
  • Experience working with Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI), SQL Server, or other enterprise database platforms.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as:
    • C#/.NET
    • Java
    • Python
  • Experience building small business applications, utilities, automation tools, or workflow management solutions.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and integration patterns.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Git, source code management, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Power BI, Fabric Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, or related Microsoft analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or workflow automation solutions.
  • Understanding of data quality management and data governance principles.
  • Experience supporting operational or content management workflows.
