Here's a closer look at this key role:
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical backend services using Java and Python.
- Architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems capable of supporting enterprise-scale workloads.
- Lead technical design, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices across multiple teams.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Develop integrations with enterprise platforms, including ServiceNow, using modern integration patterns and APIs.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of ServiceNow Scoped Applications where required.
- Design and implement AI-powered and conversational workflows that improve enterprise productivity and automation.
- Mentor engineers, perform design and code reviews, and drive engineering excellence across the organization.
- Collaborate with product management, AI, and platform teams to deliver robust enterprise solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including extensive hands-on development in Java and Python.
- Proven experience designing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability products used by enterprise customers.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, asynchronous processing, messaging systems, and REST APIs.
- Experience designing software for high throughput, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, testing methodologies, observability, and production operations.
- Excellent communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
