Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer – Frontend with strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Jest, and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who can drive technical excellence, collaborate with onshore leads and product teams on complex integrations, mentor junior developers, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and related frontend technologies.
  • Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable UI components.
  • Translate UX/UI designs into high-quality production-ready code.
  • Develop responsive and accessible web applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

Software Engineering Excellence

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.

Testing & Quality

  • Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and related testing frameworks.
  • Maintain high code quality through code reviews, static analysis, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Backend Engineers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry best practices.
  • Drive adoption of engineering standards, automation, and development efficiencies.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical communities within the GCC.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js in enterprise-scale applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

Technical Skills

Frontend

  • Expert knowledge of:
    • React.js
    • JavaScript (ES6+)
    • TypeScript
    • HTML5
    • CSS3
    • Responsive Web Design

Testing

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Jest
    • React Testing Library
    • Unit, Integration, and Component Testing

State Management

  • Experience with one or more:
    • Redux
    • Redux Toolkit
    • Context API
    • Zustand

API Integration

  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
  • Good understanding of API-driven application development.

Build & Dev Tools

  • Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps
  • Webpack/Vite
  • npm/yarn
  • CI/CD pipelines

Cloud & DevOps (Preferred)

  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Understanding of containerization and deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Next.js or modern React frameworks.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with UI component libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, or Chakra UI.
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.
  • Experience working in a product engineering environment.
  • Understanding of frontend security best practices.
