Position Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join our collaborative technology team dedicated to designing, building, and deploying highly reliable and scalable enterprise software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work end-to-end-developing user-centric front-end interfaces, building robust back-end APIs, managing databases, and utilizing modern cloud services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to automate operational workflows, drive performance and reliability using SRE principles, and directly impact the delivery of high-quality health technology.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, and maintain full-stack applications from end-to-end, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Create responsive, user-friendly, and interactive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Develop robust server-side logic, APIs, and business workflows using backend languages (such as Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js).
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Manage server environments, API integrations, and cloud services (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) to support continuous deployment and peak performance.
- Build automation tools and scripts to replace manual operational tasks, scale systems, and improve deployment velocity.
- Set, monitor, and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to track and ensure system performance and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations, diagnose production issues, respond to system alerts, and resolve service outages.
- Write, review, and analyze post-incident reports (post-mortems) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Forecast and manage infrastructure resource allocation and capacity planning to handle fluctuating demands.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers to translate product requirements into reliable and scalable features.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience using front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end languages (such as Python or Java).
- 3+ years of experience with API design and development (RESTful APIs).
- 3+ years of experience with database design and implementation using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical field.
- Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and back-end environments (e.g., Node.js, Ruby, PHP).
- Extensive knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including setting and monitoring Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- 2+ years of experience managing production infrastructure, troubleshooting network/system issues, and using system monitoring tools.
- Experience participating in on-call rotations, incident management, and conducting post-incident post-mortems.
- Capacity planning and resource forecasting experience for cloud infrastructure.
- Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
