The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Senior ServiceNow Developer) to join the Sopra Steria Polska team and contribute to the projects for our clients.
Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in ServiceNow implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Design, configure, and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform, primarily within the ITSM module.
- Develop and maintain workflows, integrations, catalog items, business rules, script includes, and other custom platform components.
- Implement new functionalities and enhancements in accordance with business and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Review, optimize, and refactor custom code to ensure performance, maintainability, and compliance with ServiceNow best practices.
- Support platform upgrades, patches, and releases, including testing and validation activities.
- Monitor and maintain integrations and APIs to ensure reliable platform operations.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and custom developments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, and Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to enhance platform functionality, performance, and user experience.
We are looking for someone with:
- Solid hands-on ServiceNow development experience, ideally around 4–5 years.
- Good knowledge of ITSM and the ServiceNow platform in general.
- Practical experience with CMDB, CI classes, relationships and data imports.
- Experience with REST integrations, IntegrationHub, Import Sets/Transform Maps and scripting.
- Good ServiceNow scripting skills: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, GlideRecord, Flow Designer, etc.
- Understanding of data modelling and ability to translate functional/data requirements into ServiceNow configurations.
- Ability to analyse existing solutions, troubleshoot issues and independently implement moderate-complexity changes.
- Experience with upgrades, maintenance and day-to-day evolution of ServiceNow ITSM processes.
- Experience with Discovery, Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), CSDM, Service Graph Connectors, Security Operations or ServiceNow instance consolidation would be an advantage, but is not required.

The recruitment process for this position consists of two stages:

Salary range:
UOP: 12 000 -16 000 PLN gross/month;
B2B: 100-140 PLN/h net + vat.
