The Senior Software Engineer, SAP Solution Manager is responsible for configuring and maintaining our SAP ChaRM and SvRM applications, ensuring their availability, performance. You will coordinate with the members of SAP functional teams in SAP managed systems as well as members of CTS to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to the overall success of our change management application. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring technical monitoring and alerting for managed SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for SAP Solution Manager Change Request Management (ChaRM) and Service Request Management (SvRM) applications including troubleshooting of change and transport related issues assisting endusers in complying with BMS policies and work instructions for changes in managed ABAP and cloud systems.
- Primary focus on configuration of ChaRM and SvRM processes, assisting endusers in complying with BMS policies and work instructions for changes in managed ABAP and cloud systems.
- Design, configure/develop and maintain ChaRM and SvRM applications and the technical monitoring of managed SAP systems.
- Participate in planning, leading, and execution of ChaRM, SvRM and technical monitoring changes as needed, including application upgrades, to help drive continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of assigned work activities and progress to conclusion promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in SAP managed systems as well as CTS and Basis, to ensure the smooth integration of SAP systems with other applications and technologies.
- Maintain configuration and functional design documents and system/user test scripts, to ensure proper and complete documentation of the application.
- Prepare procedural documentation such as work instructions and job aids, to ensure understanding and compliance with company policies.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP12, including ChaRM and SvRM configuration, and technical monitoring.
- Knowledge in all aspects of SAP Solution Manager ChaRM and SvRM applications, including continual and phase cycles, landscape management, change types and workflows, Retrofit, CSOL, digital signatures, consistency checking,
- Experience with SAP CTS, CTS+, TMS and cTMS. Good knowledge of SAP transport management mechanism, transports, transport tasks, transport content, transport release, transport of copy (TOC), transport imports in ABAP and cloud environments.
- Experience in full lifecycle implementation or upgrade of SAP systems is preferred.
- Good understanding of SAP technical monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM is helpful.
- Knowledge of SAP security concepts and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

- Good documentation skills and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, build strong partnerships to meet shared objectives.

- Experience implementing SAP solutions for pharmaceutical industry, in FDA and GxP regulated environment is a plus.

- Strong oral and written presentation skills.
