Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and refactor enterprise applications built on the .NET Framework 4.x.
- Migrate legacy codebases to containerized environments using Docker.
- Build and deploy applications using .NET Core / .NET 6+ when modernizing or creating new services.
- Collaborate on modernization strategy including splitting monoliths, containerization, and CI/CD adoption.
- Create and manage Docker images and orchestrate services in test/stage/prod environments.
- Support troubleshooting and performance tuning in legacy and modernized systems.
- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure robust and secure deployments.
Required Technical Skills:
- .NET Framework (4.0 to 4.8)
- .NET Core / .NET 5/6+
- ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC
- Windows Forms (WinForms), WPF (optional)
- C# (Advanced proficiency)
- WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
- ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, Entity Framework (classic)
- ASMX Web Services, SOAP/XML
- SQL Server (2008/2012/2016+), T-SQL
- IIS (7/8/10) deployment and tuning
- Docker: image creation, Dockerfiles, Windows-based containers
- Source Control: Git, TFS
- Java experience is preferred, and the candidate should be open to working on Java as needed
