Position Overview 

We are looking for an experienced Senior full-stack Python engineer to join our platform team focusing on artificial intelligence (AI)/ machine learning (ML) Platform (AMP). This team builds and maintains central components to fast track the development new ML/AI models such as model development studio, feature store, model serving, model observability.

Ideal candidate would have background in building full-stack web applications including front-end frameworks, back-end frameworks, database integrations, cloud deployments. You will collaborate with other full-stack engineer, MLOps engineers in the team to build end-to-end web applications to handle internal user workflows. As an important contributor to our engineering team, you will help shape the future of our AI/ML capabilities, delivering solutions that inspire value for our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Front-end: Integrating with data portal with micro-front end architecture to add new widgets, forms, pages. Converting mock UI designs into implementations 

  • Backend: Developing REST APIs for the user workflows which integrates with the front-end components using REST frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django

  • Database design: Define the database schema, migration scripts keeping the scalable design principles. Design should have a room for evolving to changing needs from the use-case

  • Containerization: Building dockerized applications which can be deployed on different compute environments such as Kubernetes, ECS etc

  • Ownership: Taking end-to-end ownership of the components you develop including conversations with Product, Users, collaborating teams, design, implementation, application security, deployment

  • Troubleshooting: Handling support requests from internal customers, troubleshooting the issues and timely communication

  • Mentorship: Mentoring full-stack engineers in team for unblocking their work and guiding them in the design, implementation

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across diverse teams, including MLOps engineers, full-stack engineers, DevOps, Product managers, software architects fostering a collaborative and cohesive work environment

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Experience: Over 5-8 years of experience in software development and engineering, delivering production systems and services

  • Ability to single-handedly design, architect, implement full-stack web applications owning components from front-end, backend, database integrations, cloud deployments

  • Prior knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Javascript

  • Ability to fluently translate the design into functional code in programming language(any one) Python, Golang 

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, orchestration tools such as CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes 

  • Experience on Amazon AWS or Azure cloud (beyond EC2, S3 or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior experience of building workflow automation kind of applications

  • Exposure to UI component libraries such as mantine or equivalent

  • Basic understanding of CSS, html 

  • Latency optimizations, cost optimizations for the REST API deployments

  • Prior experience of delivering full-stack web applications single handedly

  • Experience of deployments on AWS using dockerized applications
