Salary: Up to £75K (dependent on location and experience)

As a Senior Software Engineer - Maximus, you'll join our Group Technology team and help build the digital solutions that support Bupa's business operations. Working within the Maximus Product team, you'll develop applications and services that improve the way people work across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Microsoft technologies, including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Copilot capabilities. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, create solutions that make a real difference, and support our ongoing digital transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and improve applications and services using Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Develop solutions using Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, SharePoint Online and Dataverse
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical, user-focused solutions
- Support software design activities, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with agreed standards
- Create and execute test plans, helping to deliver high-quality and reliable products
- Support release planning and deployment activities, ensuring solutions are delivered smoothly and effectively
- Contribute to system integration activities and help maintain connected services and applications
- Provide first-line application support, investigate issues and help maintain platform stability
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas, participating in reviews and helping the team evolve its ways of working
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online and Dataverse
- Experience working with low-code and no-code solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Knowledge of software development practices, including design, testing and support
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Experience developing with technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS and APIs
- Understanding of software development within a test-driven environment
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement
Nice to have:
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning capabilities within Power Platform
- Experience using ALM Accelerator for Power Platform
- Experience with Python or similar scripting and data transformation tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 integrations and Entra ID
