As a Senior Software Engineer - Maximus, you'll be part of our Group Technology team and play an important role in our digital transformation journey. You'll work within the Maximus Product team, building and improving solutions that help colleagues work more effectively across the business.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Microsoft technologies, including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Copilot Studio. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, shape technical solutions and drive continuous improvement across products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies
- Develop solutions using Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, SharePoint Online and Dataverse
- Lead software design activities, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and aligned to agreed standards
- Work with stakeholders to gather, review and prioritise requirements, helping shape effective business solutions
- Lead and contribute to code reviews, promoting quality and continuous improvement across the team
- Design and execute testing activities, supporting the delivery of reliable and high-quality software
- Plan, coordinate and support software releases, ensuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met
- Support complex system integrations and help improve development tools and processes
- Provide application support, troubleshoot issues and help maintain stable and effective services
- Share knowledge and encourage a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online and Dataverse
- Experience designing and delivering complex software solutions in an enterprise environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships
- Experience with Agile ways of working and modern software development practices
- Experience developing with technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS and Web APIs
- Experience working in test-driven development environments and applying quality-focused engineering practices
- Ability to balance technical excellence with practical business outcomes
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning capabilities within the Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience with ALM Accelerator for Power Platform
- Experience using Python or similar scripting and data transformation tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 integration capabilities and Entra ID
