NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Safety group is looking for a Senior Software Safety Engineer.
At NVIDIA, we are building the system, hardware, and software technology which enables autonomous driving. Our deep learning safety team is currently searching for a Senior Software Safety Engineer to help us craft the next generation of products for autonomous driving. You should have strong programming skills, a good grasp of Hardware and Software Architectures, experience with software development processes, and knowledge of Automotive Spice and/or ISO 26262.
What you'll be doing:
Working with the deep learning engineering teams within NVIDIA to ensure our software products and development processes meet automotive safety standards.
Promote safety culture and guide development teams towards successful implementation of ISO 26262.
Influence next-gen software and hardware architecture from a safety perspective.
Drive and support engineering activities according to ISO 26262 standards during all project phases (concept, design, development, validation).
Support internal/external ISO 26262 process/product audits.
What we need to see:
BS+ EE/CS or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of software engineering experience in C/C++.
Strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
An advocate of good programming and design practices.
Significant experience with defining process for quality and safety conformance for mission critical application(s) and an understanding of ISO process standards, methodologies, audit expectations and documentation standards.
Should have high standards on quality and proven track record for demonstrating the same
Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety methodology and standards.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, methods, procedures and tools (requirements management, FMEA, FTA, etc.).
Deep understanding of guidelines like MISRA C++ and AUTOSAR C++14.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
