As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) at Sentronics Metrology, a Nova Company, in Mannheim, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality distributed software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in C# and .NET development, a passion for clean code and test-driven development, and a solid understanding of SOLID principles and software design patterns. In addition to hands-on development, you will mentor and support other developers while helping to drive engineering best practices across the team.

Role Responsibilities- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in line with established coding standards and best practices
- Applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) and contributing to a strong culture of automated testing
- Developing robust solutions with a solid understanding of multi-threaded programming, locking/interlocking mechanisms, and parallelism in the .NET ecosystem
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams
- Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure high code quality and consistency
- Mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level developers, supporting their technical growth and development
- Identifying and driving improvements in software architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across a distributed software stack
- Contributing to CI/CD practices and supporting modern software delivery processes
- Promoting engineering excellence, clean architecture principles, and modern development methodologies
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or related fields
- Proven software engineering experience in hardware-related development environments
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming, Clean Code principles, Test-Driven Development, and SOLID principles
- Solid understanding of real-time systems, hardware integration, and optical sensor data processing is a strong plus
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Strong collaborator with excellent English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional teams; German is a plus

Skills Required
