Your role
As a Senior Software Engineer with Leadership Potential you will start your journey as Software Engineer and in the future you can evolve to dual role that combines responsibilities as both the Team Captain and a Software Engineer. Strong focus on supporting Engineering Team, its individual team members, and their talents, strengths, and creativity so that they’re leveraged to maximum effect. You also have the opportunity to continue growing and developing technically as a software engineer, being able to contribute to architecture discussions and complex implementations. As Team Captain you will:
- Handle 1on1 sessions with all team members (mentor and help them find the right path to grow in Dynatrace and empower them to become their best version)
- Ensure knowledge sharing, performance, communication, and motivation within the team
- Ensure the team is organized and structured in alignment with the organization goals and team / individual needs
- Conduct interviews and assess the suitability of candidates
As Senior Software Engineer you will:
- Build, deliver and be responsible for critical and most challenging features and components throughout their lifecycle for our Clouds application
- You will work with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), researching and building knowledge around modern cloud architectures. You will build services and visualizations that help our users understand the complexity of cloud observability data
- Ensure adherence to best practices, quality of code, and design principles
- Advise in architectural decisions and drive complex system efforts
- Make software design decisions and identify potential issues and risks
- Collaborate with key stakeholders effectively to solve problems and drive decisions
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend/core development
- Hands-on team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Solid foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures.
- Ideally, experience with cloud technologies AWS, Azure or GCP
- Proven track record as a People Lead, not just a Tech Lead—emphasizing mentoring, coaching, performance management, and career development
- Empathetic and supportive personality, passionate about feedback culture and knowledge sharing
- Comfortable working in agile teams, with a collaborative and iterative approach
- Good English communication
