Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.

Workforce Identity Cloud

Okta Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) provides easy, secure access for your workforce so you can focus on other strategic priorities—like reducing costs, and doing more for your customers.

If you like to be challenged and have a passion for solving large-scale automation, testing, and tuning problems, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate is someone who exemplifies the ethics of, “If you have to do something more than once, automate it” and who can rapidly self-educate on new concepts and tools.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and implement secure, scalable Kubernetes clusters across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Integrate security throughout the cluster lifecycle (design to production) with network policies, RBAC, Pod Security Policies, and encryption.
  • Lead and support the migration of legacy systems, monolithic applications, and containerized services to cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, and other cloud technologies, ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
  • Optimize infrastructure, develop self-healing, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems. Work on capacity planning and performance tuning to support the evolving needs of the business.
  • Partner with development, QA, and other teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that improve the CI/CD process and operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Continuously improve and evolve the toolchain with new technologies, integrating best practices, and keeping up-to-date with the latest cloud-native technologies.
  • Develop scalable infrastructure for automated testing, reduce build times, and improve performance. Work on optimizing resource usage and addressing scalability challenges.
  • Enhance observability frameworks with integrated monitoring, logging, and alerting to provide actionable insights into system health, performance, and security. Ensure that all systems meet high standards of reliability and operational excellence.
  • Identify pain points, automate manual processes, and continuously enhance workflows for improved efficiency, performance, and reliability.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing automation tools, scripts, and processes that improve CI/CD pipelines and overall operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud-native environments, particularly Kubernetes, ECS, and other containerized platforms, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable transitions.
  • Familiarity with SRE principles, such as service level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, capacity planning, and incident response, with a focus on continuous improvement of systems' availability and performance.
  • Proficient in Python, Go, Java, and other programming languages.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks, improve workflows, and optimize deployment and release pipelines.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and the ability to design, build, and maintain infrastructure in these environments.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including identity management, access control, encryption, and compliance with cloud security standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to shared objectives.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 5+ Years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, and experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • 5+ Years of Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Karpenter, HELM, ECS, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
  • Solid understanding and experience in managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Spinnaker, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI.
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Fluentd, and related monitoring systems.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure management and the migration of legacy systems to cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-native and containerized environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps are a plus.
