Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python
- Model, optimize, and maintain relational databases (schema design, indexing, query tuning, migrations)
- UI Development skills using Angular
- Develop and maintain microservices with efficient communication patterns (REST APIs, messaging, etc.)
- Write clean, reusable, and well documented code
- Ensure production readiness: CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring/alerting, and incident response/root-cause analysis
- Optimize the application code and maintain good design practices
- Independently own and deliver in timely manner with high quality
- Analyze and resolving security vulnerabilities within the application before pushing the code into Git repositories
- Create innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business and to improve the overall health and reliability of the applications
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- B.Tech/MCA/Msc/MTech (Minimum 16 years of formal education)
- 4+ years in a software engineer role before and know how to contribute to a culture of appreciation and continuous peer feedback.
- Microsoft SQL expertise, including DDL, DML, aggregate functions, stored procedures, and user defined functions
- Experience using Copilot or AI coding assistants
- Solid hands-on experience in Java and Java Spring Boot.
- Solid knowledge of:
- REST/ gRPC API design
- Logging, monitoring, performance tuning
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins)
- Proven ability to work as an Independent Contributor
- AI & Emerging Skills
- Extensive experience in Agile and Scrum. You know how to work within teams against a single backlog, and how to enable true CI/CD
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous learning mindset, especially in AI & modern engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Development of AI components using Python. Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- MongoDB (NoSQL data modeling)
