TITLE: Senior Software Engineer - Integrations
LOCATION: New York City (hybrid) or Fully Remote in the United States
SALARY: $140,000 - $170,000 (based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role:
We are looking for a seasoned engineer with strong expertise in API integrations, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, and microservices architecture. What You'll Do:
- Prioritize Business Impact: Work closely with product managers to understand detailed requirements and business processes
- System Design and Development: Architect and build resilient and scalable solutions to support automated retrieval and delivery of documents and data between web portals, APIs, email systems, SFTP servers, etc
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Integrate feedback from internal operations & support teams to design and build applications that streamline cumbersome, manual processes
- Technical Leadership: Set high standards for development and design to ensure scalable, fault-tolerant, maintainable systems
- Code Review and Mentorship: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, actively contributing ideas for process improvement
What We're Looking For:
Required
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a software engineer designing and implementing API integrations and RPA solutions at scale in a microservices architecture.
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Your solutions are designed to be maintainable and observable.
- You have advanced problem solving and debugging skills.
- You have experience triaging, troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating regular status updates with stakeholders in response to high-priority incidents and requests.
- You are comfortable acting as the final escalation point and subject-matter expert for a portfolio of applications and external third-party integrations.
- You are available for on-call and support escalation during regular business hours and on holidays and weekends, as needed.

- Python expertise
- Email protocols and automation
- Shipping SAAS products in a startup environment
- AWS experience and DevOps practices is advantageous
- Postgres or MySQL experience
- Experience working directly with clients
