About the job
In your role as a Software Engineer, you will work with colleagues in the Agile team (Software engineers / Solution Architects) to develop products on cloud that will cater to business needs defined by the Product owner. You will be part of building a global application that supports the users to display prices in the store, both printed price tags but also digital price tags.
In an every-day workday you will do this (among other things):
- Setup development practices working in Agile teams. Ensure good code quality, test-driven development, Build CI/CD pipelines, and ensure the code reviews are done.
- Collaborate and help the technology team of software and data engineers.
- Help the product owners and specialists on the technical inputs with respect to the roadmap of the products.
- Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders (including suppliers) to improve solution architectures with learnings from best practices within software development and industry.

You're self-motivated, tech-savvy, skilled at guiding developers and shaping software architecture. You're up to date on digital trends and comfortable with Agile, DevOps, and cloud-based solutions. To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable:
Technical Skills
- Backend Development: Proficient in Java and Spring Boot; experienced in writing unit tests using JUnit, Testcontainers, WireMock.
- Frontend & APIs: Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, ReactJS, and NodeJS (nice to have).
- Cloud & DevOps: Skilled in Azure Cloud and/or GCP; experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Tooling & IDEs: Comfortable with Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, and Gitflow.
- Architecture & Design: Knowledgeable in cloud messaging solutions, event-driven architecture, design and integration patterns, and modern data architectures.
- Observability: Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and OpenTelemetry for monitoring Spring Boot services.
Soft Skills
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with business leaders and technology leadership.
- Relationship building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and meet deadlines.

Additional information
This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and is currently based in Malmo, Sweden. Your assignment will require presence in Älmhult and Malmö based on business needs.
