We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workflow Automation Developer with tangible AI development experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, automated business workflows and orchestration solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in workflow automation platforms, system integrations, and modern automation architecture, along with solid agile development practices.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can leverage AI tools and methodologies to enhance automation efficiency, decision-making, and operational outcomes. You will mentor teams, drive automation standards, and deliver high-quality workflow solutions that meet complex business needs. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and supporting workflow-based business solutions that enable multiple strategic programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and architecture of workflow automation solutions using orchestration, event-driven, and integration-based patterns
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows using workflow engines, automation platforms, scripting languages, and REST-based integrations
  • Implement and manage integrations across systems, applications, APIs, and data sources
  • Apply AI techniques (e.g., NLP, intelligent document processing, decision automation) to enhance and optimize workflows
  • Conduct code and design reviews to ensure automation reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in automation design, testing, and deployment
  • Automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of workflows using CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Monitor workflow health, queues, and execution metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards within automated processes
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into automated solutions
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies
  • Develop innovative automation approaches aligned with emerging industry and technological trends
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, consumable guidance for diverse audiences
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or a secondary education qualification with 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 10+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing workflow automation or orchestration solutions
  • 7+ years of REST API development and system integration
  • 5+ years of database experience (MS SQL, Postgress & Snowflake)
  • Experience with scripting or development languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, PowerShell or similar
  • Solid experience with workflow engines, automation frameworks, or orchestration platforms
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) as they relate to workflow automation and integrations
  • AI & Automation Skills
    • Proven ability to apply NLP, Intelligent Document Processing, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques within automated workflows
    • Proven ability to integrate AI/ML models into workflow automation platforms and decision pipelines
    • Proven ability to leverage AI-enabled automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with vRealize workflow orchestration or process automation platforms
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation testing, and deployment tooling
  • Experience working in a virtual or distributed team environment
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
  • Exposure to DevOps and monitoring tools used for workflow reliability and observability
