Join the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure Platform Services ( ETIPS ) team, driving innovation and reliability across core systems.
This role us an AI builder role using LLM, AIOPs extensively to modernize network infrastructure moving from infrastructure monitoring to End User Experience monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Platform Engineering & Automation
    • Design, build, and maintain automation tools (primarily Python and/or Ansible) to support provisioning, configuration, scaling, and lifecycle management of:
      • NetScout virtual appliances and supporting VMs
      • Integrations and operational tooling around packet capture telemetry and synthetic testing
    • Develop and maintain GitHub-based CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions (testing, linting, packaging, releases, artifact management, controlled deployments)
    • Implement infrastructure and operational "guardrails" with a security-first mindset, including secure defaults, least privilege, and strong secrets handling
  • Operational Enablement (Leveraging Prior Network Ops Expertise)
    • Translate real-world network operations and troubleshooting experience into:
      • Automation that reduces manual effort and improves MTTR
      • Stronger alerting, triage workflows, and repeatable runbooks
      • Clear escalation paths and operational documentation
    • Participate in incident response and deep-dive investigations as needed, partnering with network and application teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Operational Enablement (Leveraging Prior Linux Systems Engineering (RHEL) Expertise)
    • Engineer and support solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and derivatives, including:
      • Package installation, application configuration, patching coordination, and troubleshooting
      • Service management, logging, package management, and OS-level automation
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with internal stakeholders and executive leaders to translate business needs into technical deliverables
    • Coordinate with the third-party vendor responsible for hardware appliance deployment-ensuring operational readiness, standards compliance, and smooth handoffs
    • Produce clear technical documentation suitable for both engineering teams and non-technical leadership audiences
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of prior Network Operations experience in a large enterprise environment, including:
    • CLI-based configuration and troubleshooting of network devices/services
    • Diagnosing complex performance, connectivity, and packet-level issues
    • Driving or contributing to root cause analysis during incidents and outages
  • 15+ years hands-on experience with Linux, specifically RHEL and derivatives (administration and troubleshooting)
  • 5+ years building automation and operational tools using Python and/or Ansible in production environments
  • Solid experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Solid proficiency with GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review best practices
  • Demonstrated security-first mindset (secure coding practices, secrets management, least privilege, auditability, change control)
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with both highly technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a remote environment and respond with urgency during operational events
