Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain healthcare applications and components including browser-based single page apps, micro frontends, microservices and orchestrated workflow. Open Shift Enterprise/OCP/HCC, TypeScript, Java, and Springboot figure heavily into a typical day's work
- Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing and follow Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks
- Applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designs
- Be able to independently troubleshoot problems in development as well as production and zero in on the likely root causes
- Define and drive improvements in the overall quality including automation, code coverage and inspection processes
- Conduct code review & design review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high-quality standards
- Mentor other developers on coding standards, problem solving, and application architecture
- Develop unit and integration tests for all written software programs and components. Follow test driven development approach
- Document and communicate design and application code specifications and details to other team members
- Mentor junior developers on the team with programming standards
- Adapt to new programming languages, methodologies, platforms and frameworks to support the business needs
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered
- 10+ years of programming and full software development life-cycle experience
- 8+ years of web service API development experience using Java/Spring
- 6+ years of experience in deploying applications on Container platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes
- Hands-on knowledge of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and should have completed some of the projects also
- Experience developing SPA applications with a solid grasp in one or more relevant front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js etc.)
- Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile methodologies
- Experience in providing technical guidance and inculcating engineering best practices within development teams
- Knowledge of at least one RDBMS and one NoSQL database like MongoDB
- Working knowledge of at least one Cloud Platform - AWS, Azure or GCP
- Exposure to complete software product lifecycle encompassing requirements analysis, prototyping, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment
- Proficiency in Jenkins pipeline CI/CD, GitHub, Docker and Maven
- Proven ability to perform assigned software development tasks using established standards and procedures without any supervision
- Proven solid technical skills including solid understanding of software development methodologies and principles
Preferred Qualification:
- FHIR Certifications and knowledge of SMART on FHIR
