The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join Kargo’s Workflow team. This team owns the tools and platforms that power the internal workflows across Kargo, with a strong focus on Campaign Management.

This role goes beyond just coding—you’ll be driving technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and ensuring our internal applications are scalable, reliable, and intuitive. As a full-stack engineer, you’ll contribute across backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery of features that support Kargo’s internal teams.

The Daily To-Do

  • Design & Development: Architect, build, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs that power Kargo’s Workflow applications, especially Campaign Management.
  • Full-Stack Contribution: Work across the stack — from database and backend services to frontend user interfaces — to deliver complete solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Ad Operations teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • System Reliability: Ensure high availability, performance, and security of internal platforms.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and set best practices for engineering excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in developer productivity, system observability, and automation.

AdTech Domain Impact: Leverage industry knowledge to design features that integrate seamlessly with Kargo’s ad-serving ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Full-stack experience, with proficiency in both backend development (PHP, Go, Node.js, or similar) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Deep understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and API design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
