NVIDIA's Developer Tools team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen identity, security, and reliability for profiling services. Performance data can contain sensitive technical and operational information that requires thoughtful protection. This role turns security requirements into practical controls and dependable operating practices. You will partner across engineering and security teams to deliver solutions that users and operators can trust.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and build identity, authorization, and service-trust capabilities for a collaborative cloud application.
Translate security and access requirements into controls that are practical for users and product teams.
Strengthen credential handling, auditing, isolation, and protection of sensitive performance data.
Build secure, reproducible infrastructure and delivery practices for supported environments.
Improve release safety, recovery, and operational resilience for services and persistent data.
Establish useful security and reliability signals for incident response, resource management, and ongoing improvement.
Partner with engineering and security teams to identify risks, validate controls, and address failures before release.
What we need to see:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience building and operating production identity, security, platform, infrastructure, or reliability systems.
Candidates should have deep expertise in identity and authorization systems or secure platform engineering and production reliability. Ability in adjacent fields is encouraged, but expertise in all areas is not required.
Practical experience implementing trusted sign-in, browser and service credentials, and resource authorization using standards such as OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect.
Working knowledge of securely configuring, deploying, and operating containerized services through automation.
Strong software engineering ability in at least one service or automation language, including maintainable code, tests, and production diagnostics.
Sound threat-modeling and distributed-systems judgment demonstrated through service trust, isolation, partial failure, credential handling, or abuse-resistance decisions.
A record of defining a bounded MVP under ambiguity, collaborating across organizational boundaries, and turning architecture into an operated production capability.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience implementing workload identity, token exchange, delegated access, mutual TLS, policy-based authorization, or authorization-aware caching.
Experience securing or operating real-time connections and shared state across multiple service instances.
Hands-on work building telemetry and operating containerized services with cloud-native tooling.
Experience implementing audit, retention, export, deletion, privacy, or compliance controls for sensitive technical data.
Practical coding skills in Python, C++, or Rust, encompassing the capability to write, review, and direct production-quality infrastructure software. Experience with Rust is highly valued.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
