Job Description

Salary Range: SGD 148,800 - 184,800 per annum + RSUs

Wise Platform aims to be the infrastructure that powers the world’s money, connecting banks, financial institutions, and enterprises to our next-generation payment solutions. We believe in building a world where money has no borders.

The Cards and MCA team works on offering embedded finance solutions to fintechs with an emphasis on corporate card issuance. As part of this team, you will be exposed to the challenges of developing enterprise-ready solutions for our global partners. We are at the forefront of enabling seamless financial services for businesses worldwide.

We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with strong technical skills and a genuine interest in designing robust platform products. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in evolving our product offering, working closely with both existing and potential partners. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the core infrastructure that powers global financial innovation.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Develop Enterprise-Grade APIs: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and secure APIs that serve as the backbone for our partners' embedded finance solutions.

  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Actively engage with clients and potential partners to deeply understand their technical requirements, operational needs, and strategic objectives, translating insights into product improvements.

  • Mentorship & Growth: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, best practices, and technical excellence within the team.

  • Roadmap Contribution: Eagerness and ability to contribute to the team's technical roadmap, influencing future product direction and architectural decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, other engineering teams, and business development to support successful partner integrations and deliver cohesive solutions.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For (Required Qualifications):

  • Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining APIs: You should have a proven track record of developing robust, scalable, and secure API solutions.

  • Strong Independent Thinker & Collaborator: You are capable of independent thought and initiative, while also being eager to accept feedback and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong Technical Software Engineering Skills: Proven experience in building and shipping high-quality software, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot systems: Familiarity with these technologies would be highly beneficial.

  • Holistic Solution Mindset: You consider not just customer impact, but also the long-term financial and architectural costs and implications of the solutions you build.

  • Microservices Architecture: Some experience with developing in a microservice architecture.

  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the cards domain (credit/debit cards, payment processing, etc.).

Hybrid Workspace
