We’re looking for an exceptional design leader to join our Spend design team. You’ll be working with the cross-functional team that creates a best in class spending experience for users all over the world.
Over the past decade, Wise has built a global payments infrastructure that has revolutionised how money moves around the world. Since 2018, the Spend squad has built one of the most significant debit card products in the world with millions of cards issued in over 40+ countries in 5 continents with more to be added soon. The squad now consists of 6 Product teams based across Singapore, London and Tallinn. The majority of the team is based in Singapore and owns the end to end experience of spending with Wise. onboarding of card customers, starting with the ordering flow to how we ensure that the customer becomes an active card user.
As a Group Design Lead you will lead the team of designers to deliver projects across complex product areas, which enable customers to spend multiple currencies and manage them safely. You will take ownership of the vision setting and becoming accountable for the design quality of our products and processes on the team.

Your mission:
You’ll be joining a growing team that is expanding the way customers can use their Wise Account. You’ll get to work on solving how customers can spend their international money, when travelling, relocating or at home. You’ll create simple, easy-to-use experiences for a complex financial product that serves 16 million users, from diverse range of backgrounds, across the globe.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
Be a cross-functional hero and partner up with the Group Product Manager, Engineering Lead, Analytics Lead, as well as researchers and content designers within your squad
Get to know Wise customers, building empathy and deep understanding of their needs
Using the full range of Product Design and leadership skills to guide the designers to ensure that they are designing and delivering the most impactful projects.

About you:
You have 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer / Design Leader, championing customer-first design initiatives
You’ve got a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work in digital product design and brand design
You have a proven record of leading a highly functioning design team that has consistently delivered features at the global scale.
You understand the power of storytelling to manage the stakeholders and lead the cross-functional team
You’re a natural collaborator, designing in the open, leveraging other functions’ expertise and taking them on the journey with you.
You understand that good design is often a journey to identify the right thing to build, using early concepts and prototypes to help build conviction along the way.
