What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Software Engineer at Spera in our full-stack team, you will play a critical role in building our web application. Your expertise and contributions will directly impact the success and effectiveness of our product. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, design and build high-quality web applications by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes
- Raise the bar on engineering excellence by improving standard methodologies, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing, and monitoring
- Collaborate with product and R&D engineers to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our products.
- Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
What you’ll bring to the role
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- 4+ years of experience as a web developer in modern language
- 3+ years of experience with React or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of full web technology stack: RESTful services, client-side frameworks, data persistence technologies.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!
- Experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing platforms
- Experience with AWS cloud stack
