The Customer Experience (CX) team is a blend of full-stack mobile and web engineers focusing on features core to the user experience across our mobile applications and backend services. Some examples include providing onboarding guidance to properly configure security systems, educating customers on how best to protect the things they love, and notifying customers of important activity on their systems. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-stack Web) who is passionate about building intuitive, reliable, and impactful customer-facing experiences and wants to contribute to solutions that reach millions of people.

Alarm.com values working together and collaborating in person. We are building a new team in Krakow.Our employees work fully from the office with the possibility to work remotely occasionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and Deliver:Design, implement, and maintain high-quality full-stack features (both frontend and backend services).
  • Collaborate:Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver customer-facing features that scale globally.
  • Problem Solve:Translate complex requirements into efficient, maintainable, and reliable code while considering performance and security.
  • Contribute Across Layers:Develop features in both frontend (React, Ember, etc.) and backend services (C#, Web APIs, microservices, etc.) and latest evolving technologies.
  • Ensure Quality:Write unit and integration tests, work with QA to validate features, and monitor production performance.
  • Continuous Improvement:Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Support & Knowledge Sharing:Participate in code reviews, share expertise with peers, and contribute to team documentation.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program.
  • English proficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong hands-on experience building Full-stack Web Applications(JavaScript, TypeScript, a library/framework like React, CSS, HTML).
  • Solid hands-on backend, OOP developmentexperience (e.g. C# or similar, Web API development).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for delivering customer-facing applications that are performant, reliable, and intuitive.
