Role Summary

LSEG Workspace is our flagship financial platform - a Desktop, Web, and Mobile SaaS solution providing unparalleled insights across the full breadth of LSEG data.

Page Express is a business-critical content management and publishing platform that powers content experiences across LSEG Workspace. It enables internal users to create, manage, and publish pages, articles, and navigation that are consumed directly by Workspace users. The platform integrates with a wide range of data sources and components to deliver content-driven applications at scale, with both authoring capabilities (Page Express Admin) and customer-facing services that render and distribute content across the Workspace ecosystem.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join Page Express team, as part of Workspace Engineering in Bucharest. Our team accelerates business innovation by crafting reusable solutions that support digital journeys, handle upgrade workflows and enable safe, gradual feature rollouts across user segments.

You will be responsible for front-end and back-end development. We are solution engineers with simplicity, consistency and reusability in mind first, and coding second. You’ll collaborate with software & quality engineers within our squad and across the business to build impactful capabilities across the customer digital journey.

What You’ll Bring

Must have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js
  • Practical experience with front-end frameworks e.g. Angular, React
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
  • Prior experience with CMS solutions
  • Expertise developing REST API
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to serverless architecture and event-driven systems
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards
  • Experience with Java

What You’ll Be Doing

Software Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain web & desktop solutions ensuring scalability, security, and high performance
  • Write clean, efficient, well-tested and well-documented code
  • Conduct code reviews and establish standard processes for software development

System Design and Architecture

  • Architect, deploy, and run web & cloud-based applications
  • Optimise cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance
  • Lead architectural decisions for front-end and back-end systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps to build end-to-end solutions
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions

Project Management

  • Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and roadmap development
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting both technical and business objectives
