Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we're able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location in Australia and New Zealand. If this sparks your interest, apply today and chat with our friendly Recruitment team further.
More about our team
We currently have engineers in a tiger team working with Design, Product and Data Science.
We want to add an engineer that has experience in the growth space i.e running experiments, analysing results, optimising, sharing with stakeholders etc.
This is a fast moving environment where you'll be able to have a direct effect on the success of Rovo Dev.
- Experimentation: Design, build, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments using Statsig to improve conversion rates (adoption and acquisition) and user experiences.
- Full Stack Development: Implement technical solutions across the product, from frontend user interfaces to backend systems. This can include developing features for onboarding, acquisition, and retention. Provide thorough, meaningful code reviews and set a high bar for the team.
- Process: Ensure that all experiments are properly documented, and continuously refine our experimentation processes with the support of design, PM and the team.
- Data Analysis: Collect, interpret, and act on data working closely with Data Science.
- Optimization: Optimize the onboarding journey, improve conversion rates, working closely with partner teams on areas like SCM integration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design and Data Science to identify growth opportunities and implement new strategies.
- Partner across engineering teams: Most growth experiments will happen in other teams' codebases and so you will need to up-skill quickly across the stack, familiarise yourself with code contribution guidelines, get alignment and all of the necessary approvals.
On your first day, we'd love for you to have:
- Experience in A/B testing, running engineering experiments
- Experience working on Growth Engineering teams
- Strong product mindset in building customer experiences that drive real value
- Real passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal and communication skills
It's great, but not required, if you have:
- The ability to write components in plain JavaScript/TypeScript, but the intelligence to leverage existing libraries when it makes sense
- We're heavily using React, and we write all new code with ES6 features, so familiarity with some or all of these is helpful
- Some industry experience with public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GAE, Azure)
- Understanding of typical web application, SOA and micro-services patterns.
- Knowledge of open source libraries, tools and frameworks (e.g. for logging, wiring, testing, building)
- Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks and paradigms
