Job Description
The Role
A Senior Software Engineer is an experienced member of our Engineering team. A Senior Software Engineer is a fully autonomous professional, responsible for improving the technical alignment, health and engineering practices within the team.
You will develop software within Customer Technology Platform teams, contributing to engineering quality, coaching and mentoring entry-level Software Engineers and demonstrate passion for your craft through user centric, reliable, and scalable solutions.
The Team
The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with a cross functional team to build products and solutions for internal and external customers across the SEEK Group. Primarily working on back-end development, you will be a part of a high performing team working on cutting edge software (cloud based serverless architecture) that integrates with and enhances the features provided by our Marketing and CRM platforms.
You will work with roles, including, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities
Build
- Design and deliver robust, event-driven integrations between Salesforce, SaaS platforms and SEEK’s cloud apps
- Write clean, testable code; contribute to architecture and design reviews
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting for reliability and observability
Execute
- Own solutions end-to-end from requirements to production
- Collaborate with PMs, architects and stakeholders to translate business needs
- Work iteratively in agile teams; manage tech debt alongside feature delivery
Support
- Participate in on-call; troubleshoot and resolve incidents with root-cause fixes
- Maintain clear documentation, runbooks and operational procedures
- Support consumers of integration services
Strength
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing
- Champion engineering excellence and continuous improvem
Core Requirements
- 5+ years’ software engineering experience, ideally in integration/platform contexts
- Proficiency in modern programming languages
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce, SaaS and/or internal cloud apps
- Strong collaborator and mentor in cross-functional teams
Technical Experience
- Event-based patterns and loosely coupled architectures
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC
- Microservices and distributed systems
- APIs, webhooks and integration middleware
- CI/CD and automated testing
Nice to Have
- Experience leading individuals or outcomes within a delivery team
- Practices: TDD/BDD, Clean Code
- Knowledge sharing and contribution to communities of practice
