Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, distributed systems that meet the demands of millions of consumers globally.
- Take ownership of critical services within microservices architecture, delivering features and projects while ensuring timelines, quality, and performance metrics are consistently met.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to deeply understand business requirements and ensure alignment between engineering and product outcomes.
- Define and promote engineering best practices for software development, CI/CD, and DevOps, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and maintainable.
- Actively participate in post-production support processes, ensuring robust monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Actively support other engineers by contributing to a culture of learning and innovation through technical guidance and mentorship.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant programming experience with GoLang or Node.js, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing diverse deliveries.
- Strong design and architectural experience in building scalable and highly available products and services (millions of consumers).
- Comprehensive understanding of all SDLC activities, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Extensive experience with backend technologies, including RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of backend technology stacks, including HTTP protocols, API design, relational and NoSQL databases, Linux systems, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience optimizing system reliability, scalability, and performance for backend systems.
- Proficiency in GoLang and Node.js is required. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails (RoR), ReactJS, and other modern frameworks is a strong plus.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with a focus on iterative, incremental development.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, emphasizing automation and reliability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
