We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our athenaCollector – RCM Rules team.

The RCM Rules team is committed to creating Business Rules that adhere to healthcare industry regulations and meet customer requirements. Our primary goal is to enhance the client self-service experience and streamline the interpretation of rule outcomes through transparency. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in developing new functionality that aims to improve the customer experience for the RCM workflow process. This will empower medical providers to efficiently manage their business and revenue cycle. 

We are looking for a developer with extensive experience in designing and building full-stack web applications, preferably in a public cloud environment using Java Spring Boot and React technology. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to quickly grasp the complexities of the healthcare industry. Additionally, we value tenacity and adaptability in learning, as well as a commitment to design and engineering excellence. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Create precise and clear technical design specifications at the appropriate level of detail 
  • Provide customer value by delivering high-quality software components and services 
  • Proactively identify and suggest new and alternative technologies to create scalable implementations and achieve desired outcomes 
  • Offer guidance and training to junior team members to enhance overall productivity and effectiveness 
  • Actively Contribute to agile ceremonies to improve team performance and maturity 
  • Volunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery; coordinate efforts across the team to ensure completion and effectiveness 
  • Participate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e., daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives 
  • Foster self-organization within the team and collaborate with peers to determine the team's functioning. 
  • Collaborate with the Technology and Product teams to ensure alignment with business objectives 
  • Efficiently work on technical prototypes and proof-of-concepts 

 Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of software development experience with a proven track record of contributing to complex full-stack applications 
  • Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and ReactJS 
  • Experience with RESTful API, SQL 
  • Extensive experience in building and deploying containerized applications on cloud platforms like AWS ECS/EKS, Knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform 
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, preferably Oracle 
  • Experience with working in an Agile environment 
  • Familiarity with a scripting language 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is a plus 
  • Desirable skills include Unix/Linux, Drools, DMN, and Rules Engine knowledge 
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development is a plus 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Possess strong time management skills and maintain a "can-do" attitude
