Are you passionate about building next-generation AI solutions? We're looking for a skilled engineer to architect and deliver cutting-edge .NET services and APIs powered by Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services. In this role, you'll design advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, craft agentic workflows, and develop Semantic Kernel plugins that push the boundaries of what's possible with AI.
About the Role:

  • Architect and build .NET services and APIs integrating Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services.
  • Design and implement RAG pipelines using Azure AI Search for hybrid retrieval and grounding.
  • Build agentic workflows with tool/function calling, planning, memory, and safe execution boundaries.
  • Develop Semantic Kernel plugins/skills; configure planners, connectors, and memory stores.
  • Implement observability for AI systems (cost, latency, token usage, quality metrics; App Insights/OpenTelemetry).
  • Partner with product, security, and data teams to align solutions with compliance and business outcomes.
  • Mentor engineers; lead design reviews, write RFCs, and drive engineering excellence.

About you:
You will be a good match for ths position if your backgrounds includes:

  • C#/.NET 7/8: Advanced async, streaming, DI, clean architecture, performance tuning.
  • ASP.NET Core: REST APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC/JWT), caching, resiliency.
  • Azure AI Services:
    • Azure OpenAI: GPT models, embeddings, function calling, streaming responses, cost optimization.
    • Azure AI Search: Indexing, hybrid search (BM25 + vectors), skillsets, enrichers, re-ranking.
    • Azure AI Studio: Prompt flow orchestration, evaluation pipelines.
  • RAG: Chunking strategies, metadata enrichment, hybrid retrieval, citation fidelity.
  • Agentic AI: Multi-tool orchestration, planners, memory, error recovery, guardrails.
  • Semantic Kernel (C#): Kernels, semantic/native skills, connectors, planners, memory stores.
  • Azure Infrastructure: App Service, Functions, AKS, Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault.
  • Security & Compliance: PII handling, data residency, auditability, threat modeling basics.
  • Testing & Quality: Unit/integration/contract tests, load tests, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub).
Nice-to-Have
  • Azure Cognitive Services: Document Intelligence, Speech, Vision for multimodal AI.
  • Azure AI Search advanced: Custom scoring profiles, multi-source ingestion (SharePoint, Blob).
  • Observability for AI quality: hallucination detection, RAG evaluation (RAGAS/rubrics).
  • Front-end integration: Blazor/React for streaming UX.
  • Knowledge graphs: Neo4j/RDF for advanced retrieval.
